Championship results

After another ground breaking season in the Maxxis Tyres British Drift Championship we can now announce the three 2012 champions.

We have had 6 events at 5 venues over the course of the season and have had drivers from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Portugal, Belgium and Norway. In the end there can be only 1 winner per class.

In the toughest championship class in Europe and after 8 years of competitive drifting we can officially announce the 2012 Super Professional champion is Team Japspeed driver Paul “Smokey” Smith.

The team/constructors championship went down to the wire with eventual winners being Team Japspeed.

Round 4 Report- Lydden Hill 11th and 12th August

Smoke Falls On The Hill

The build up for Round 4 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship saw the tension further increase as many drivers and teams were looking at the table in the hope of climbing further to close or make gaps of their fellow competitors. After having a year out from Lydden Hill, everyone was looking forward to get back out onto the tricky circuit. The gravel traps lay in wait for those who dared to stray off the line. (more…)
