Ladies and gents, the search is on for drivers who are ready to compete in the UK’s premier drift championship, the Maxxis British Drift Championship.
We can now announce details of the second and FINAL licensing day in preparation for the 2014 season. This event will take place on Sunday the 23rd February 2014 at the Teesside Autodrome, South Tees Motorsports Park, Dormer Way, South Bank. TS6 6XH
The Maxxis British Drift Championship Dinner Dance has become an annual tradition over the years, with the drivers, teams, friends and family all gathering at the end of the season to congratulate the winners, hand out the year’s awards and enjoy a good night with great people. This year’s dinner dance took place at the Marriott hotel in Peterborough and was a fantastic night to remember for all involved!
As the championship heads into it’s 7th year in 2014, there are more and more drifters in the UK who wish to take part in Europe’s biggest and best series.
As in previous years the championship hosted one of two licensing days at Lydden Hill Circuit in Kent. 70 drivers were given the opportunity to show they have what it takes to impress the judges and be awarded either a Semi Pro or Pro licence.
As the championship drew to a close for another year, the stakes were higher than ever with several drivers still in contention to take the crown. Horns locked, those in with a chance knew their fate would be sealed over the course of the race weekend at the behest of the notoriously tricky Knockhill Racing Circuit. (more…)
The finale of the 2013 Maxxis British Drift Championship took place at the infamous Knockhill circuit over the weekend, with the winners taking home silverware and champions taking home well-sought after titles.
After four rounds of thrills, spills and destroyed tyres the final round of the 2013 Maxxis British Drift Championship is almost upon us! Even at this late stage the Semi-Pro, Pro and Super-Pro classes are all wide open and there are a whole host of drivers that could take home championship victory at the hugely challenging Knockhill circuit.
In the Semi-Pro class, Marcin Mucha heads the points table by 14 points, helped on his way by his victory at Round 4 (Lydden Hill) in his monstrous Toyota Supra.
We had an absolute blast at Trax, tearing up the legendary Silverstone tarmac in the name of fun! The tens of thousands of spectators absolutely loved our demonstration runs that featured some of the best drifters that the UK & Ireland have to offer. Make sure you check out our video from the event below!
Once again, the British Drift Championship had the pleasure of being invited along to Trax and were given the opportunity of bringing the sport of Drifting back to the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone. (more…)
It’s almost time for the BDC’s annual trip to TRAX, one of the UK’s most prestigious and well-established shows on the show scene calendar. Held at the world-famous Silverstone race circuit, the show puts an emphasis on track action as well as static displays. Alongside the regular track time driving (with track time available for members of the public to purchase) the BDC will be running a number of demonstration sessions featuring the very best drivers from the series from the Semi-Pro, Pro and Super-Pro classes.
