Sponsor spotlight-Rota Wheels UK
Many of you will now be more than familiar with Rota wheels, they feature on many top drift cars! The company Rare Rims was founded in 2003 as the sole importer of Rota wheels into the UK. The business originally started off supplying the correct fitment, lightweight wheels for both the Honda and Subaru marques. Since those early days the business has quickly developed, supplying both retail customers and expanding to cater for a wide dealer network that operates throughout the UK and Europe.

Acorn Motorsport secure tyre sponsor for the 2012 Maxxis British Drift Championship
Acorn Motorsport Division (AMD) and Infinity Tyres are very proud to announce
that they have secured a partnership for the 2012 Maxxis British Drift Championship
season.
Scott Brandon(Team Principle at AMD) who recently finalised the terms of the
Partnership with Jorge Crespo and Clive Mansfield from Infinity Tyres is
clearly excited about the future.
“To have Infinity Tyres on board as a tyre partner really does give us a
huge boost and allows us to take the team to the next level. We believe we
produce some of the highest quality cars in the BDC and having a product as
strong as Infinity Tyres on the cars is essential to maximise all
performance possibilities. AMD have been working very hard behind the scenes
during the closed season and this partnership is the final part of the
jigsaw. Infinity’s commitment to developing there product to give us the
highest level of performance possible is essential in our development”.

1. When was your company founded? The company was founded back in 1988, but the knowledge and expertise behind it dates much further back!
2. What did you start off producing/tuning? We’ve always focused on producing uprated turbochargers, but our first real production was back in the early 80s for the old Porsche race cars. (more…)
