Practice Days

** BDC Mid Summer practice day ** Donington Park **

Ladies and gents

Are you ready for a chilled out practice? Are you ready for some fun with your mates?

It’s with great pleasure we can now announce the first of a number of BDC practice days to take place at Donington Park Race Circuit.

The first will take place on Saturday 18th June 2011.

We will be running two tracks to cater for those wishing to test you and your cars to the max!

The first will be on the Launch pad, as used for round one of the championship. This will be set up with high speed entries in mind; the remainder of the track will be fast and flowing.

We will set up the track to enable those wishing to try backwards/mental/ (possibly wall scrape) entries can do so without the fear of heading off track in to a gravel trap, tyre wall or worse – armco.

This track will be open to current BDC licence holders, EDC/JDM All-stars competitors during the morning session.

Twinning will be allowed for those with cars built to BDC rules and regulations.

No roll cage – No twinning

Passengers will be allowed but only if the car is fitted with a minimum of a 4 point harness.

Vehicles not fitted with a roll cage will not be allowed to take passengers on the large track.

The second track will be within the ‘Drift Central’ area. This will be a technical track, we will be using this track for licensing. That’s correct, if you missed the chance earlier in the year this is the event for you.

The format for licensing will be as previous days, practice until lunch time followed by licensing. After that time, drivers who achieve a licence or show a reasonable level of skill during the day will have the use of the large track for the remainder of the day.

We will have drivers in attendance to offer help and advice for drivers who have not attended a practice day before or if you would like some advice to improve your drifting.

Both tracks will be open from 0900 till 1700.

Helmets will be mandatory.

Mint tyres will be in attendance offering the usual tyre services.

There will be 30 spaces available for the small track/licensing.
