Licence Days

Ladies and gents, the search is on for drivers who are ready to compete in the UK’s premier drift championship, the Maxxis British Drift Championship.

BDC Licence Days

We can now announce details of the second and FINAL licensing day in preparation for the 2014 season. This event will take place on Sunday the 23rd February 2014 at the Teesside Autodrome, South Tees Motorsports Park, Dormer Way, South Bank. TS6 6XH

BDC Licence Days

The smaller West track will be used, therefore places will be restricted to 40 cars only!

BDC Licence Days

The event has been scheduled far enough in the future to give those plenty of time to prepare for the event and well before the start of the 2014 season.

BDC Licence Days

The day will be run in a similar format to a normal BDC event. Practice will be run during the morning in groups, followed by a short lunch break. Licensing will take place from 1245 onwards. Once licensing has finished the track will be reopened for open practice.

This event is open to ANY driver whether you wish to attempt to gain a licence or not. Licensing is conducted to ensure drivers are consistent and have good drifting abilities that would make them suitable contenders for the 2014 BDC.

BDC Licence Days

There is no charge for being assessed for a licence. You will only be charged for a licence if you wish to obtain one at the cost of £50 once you have been judged to be eligible for one. A BDC licence will give a driver the opportunity to compete in the 2014 championship. We ask you bring this fee in cash on the day along with a passport style photograph.

The BDC licence is also recognized by other event organizers and tracks as proof of a drivers ability that will allow them to take part in events, demos and other competitions. License holders will also be eligible for offers and discounts from various sponsors of the championship.

Semi Pro and Pro licences will be being issued at the event and drivers will be assessed on their performance on the day. Please be aware that a licence is not guaranteed.

The cost for the day per car and driver is £99. If there are two drivers per car we will ensure you are placed in different groups during practice and licensing.

BDC Licence Days

Cars do not have to be built to full BDC regulations but must be in a good/safe road worthy condition. If a car has a fluid leak then they will not be allowed to take part.

Standard seat belts can be used but a four point harness is preferred. Helmets are mandatory. Passengers are not allowed in any car that does not have a full roll cage or a minimum of a four point harness.

Full details will be sent via email to all drivers one week prior to the event.

BDC Licence Days

Places for the event will be limited to 40 drivers – a reserve list will be made of any additional drivers that wish to take part. Should any of the original drivers drop out for whatever reason the drivers on the reserve will be offered a place.

Places cannot be transferred or sold to other drivers without permission from the BDC due to drivers waiting on the reserve list. The BDC will keep a full list of drivers and reserve places.

Please be aware that if you are unable to attend for what ever reason you must inform us two weeks before the event and we will refund your entry fee. Refunds will not be issued within 5 days of the event.

Places will be sold on a first come first serve basis; once all the places are sold a reserve list will be created for those who email us at Should any driver pull out for what ever reason we will contact those on the reserve list.

When paying you will need to email with your full name and postal address. If you have paid using a different email address you must make us aware.

Tickets are now available – please visit the BDC Ticket Page to purchase yours.
