Success for the BDC @ Autosport 2012!

The Maxxis British Drift Championship is proud to announce a huge success at the annual Autosport International show. Attracting over 100,000 visitors across the 12th-15th January (at the Birmingham NEC Arena), Autosport was the perfect venue for the BDC to launch their 2012 season, and the feedback so far has been simply overwhelming.

Along with information, video footage and goodie bags the BDC stand also featured a range of competitors cars including the freshly-rebuilt S13 of Mark Lappage. With so much space around each car motorsport fanatics were given the opportunity to see the level of detail and prep involved in every professional drift car – something over overlooked when simply watching drifting on YouTube. As well as the static display, Team Japspeed performed a total of 12 displays within the Live Action Arena providing fans with all the sounds and smoke from some of the UK’s most-powerful S15s.

‘This was our first Autosport show, and with so many motorsports represented it was an honour to receive such a warm welcome.’ explains series director, Mark Buckle. ‘The stand was a hive of activity throughout the whole weekend – we cannot wait to get the 2012 season running!’

Also announced over the Autosport weekend
