As we announced earlier in the year the Maxxis Tyres British Drift Championship will be aired on television across the world during the season.

With the start of the 2013 British Drift Championship just around the corner, we thought that now would be the perfect time to take a look at this year’s line up. From the stalwarts to the newbies, the movers and shakers to the long time protagonists, this season looks set to the best ever for both the drivers and the spectators.
With the weather in the UK being terrible with snow and freezing conditions, there was always a doubt to whether this event would take place at all!
The venue had been cleared of snow on Friday evening, but arrival at the track we found a coating of 75mm of snow covering the track! Not the best start to the day, how ever due to the fantastic work from the ground crew at Norfolk Arena by 1000 the track was cleared, marked out and ready for the drifting to begin!
With the track tested by judge Rich Newton and Mark Buckle the action began at 1015, a little later than planned but the normal relaxed BDC atmosphere and banter meant smiles all round.
Conditions were tricky to start with as the remainder of the snow melted under the spinning rubber of the 35+ cars that were attending.
Some regulars could be seen around the arena, Lewis Cracknell‘s car was present but not for Lewis, but his dad Phil was getting in on the action hoping to achieve a licence. Keeping it in the family! (more…)
We’re pleased to announce that The British Drift Championship will be in attendance at Trax 2013, which is being held once again at Silverstone on Sunday 8th September.
With lots of thrilling action you can be sure it will be a day not worth missing. We’ll be releasing more details soon, but pencil the date into your diary for one of the hottest shows of the year.
It’s all confirmed now! The Maxxis British Drift Championship team will be at the popular Autosport International Show in January. The Autosport show at Birmingham’s NEC sets the industry standard! It brings together every aspect of motorsport all under one roof! Playing host to everything from Karting to F1 and now, British Drifting!
The 2012 season of the Maxxis British Drift Championship saw the sport and organisation boom! The level of attention received pushed things to the very edge of manic. Drifting fans just couldn’t get enough of the action that the BDC promises, and delivers! The teams and drivers all stepped it up a notch and we were rewarded with a season that surely has to go down into the history books as a landmark for British Drifting!

Those who were lucky enough to be able to attend the high drama Judgement Day from Round 6 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship at Knockhill were given a real treat! It had it all! Topping the season off in grand style, with some tense and tight battles around the demanding circuit as the teams and drivers gave everything they had, in one last grasp to snatch glory for the season! Now is your chance to catch up, or relive the action in the comfort of your living room!

Triple Drifting sends Teesside Crazy!
After the sun went down onto Round 3 of the Maxxis British Drift Championship at Teesside, that would often be enough to go home satisfied after a weekends drift action . Especially after the standard’s we witnessed, well there was more to come! On the Sunday at Teesside, we had the annual Team Triple Drift Event. This yearly assault sees teams engage in “battle mode” as they line up and get door to door with their team mates to hit the highest score possible in knockout battles with other teams. It follows the same format as the normal rounds in the sense that there is qualifying sessions and then it get’s skimmed down to 16 teams for the knockout stage. The morning started and the main buzz in the pits and on everyone’s lips was- Triple Drifting! (more…)
