Ladies and gents, the search is on for drivers who are ready to compete in the UK’s premier drift championship, the Maxxis British Drift Championship.
We can now announce details of the second and FINAL licensing day in preparation for the 2014 season. This event will take place on Sunday the 23rd February 2014 at the Teesside Autodrome, South Tees Motorsports Park, Dormer Way, South Bank. TS6 6XH
As the championship heads into it’s 7th year in 2014, there are more and more drifters in the UK who wish to take part in Europe’s biggest and best series.
As in previous years the championship hosted one of two licensing days at Lydden Hill Circuit in Kent. 70 drivers were given the opportunity to show they have what it takes to impress the judges and be awarded either a Semi Pro or Pro licence.
2013 marks the sixth year of the British Drift Championship, now with the support of some of the largest motorsport companies in the world! This year’s championship will be held over five rounds at some of the best tracks in the UK, including the BDC’s long-awaited return to one particular venue.
Support from Cosworth, K&N, Samco, Lucas Oils and many others is proof that the sport of drifting (and the British Drift Championship in particular) is now the place to be seen and is well-recognised as the pinnacle of drifting in the UK and Ireland.

This leads us nicely to bring Rich ‘Chunk’ Newton to the forefront of the judging panel for 2012. As most of you will know Chunk has been involved with the BDC from its beginning, licensing drivers along side Mark ‘Sweeps’ Buckle and judging almost every event.
We will let Chunk give you his story of how he got involved and we look forward to seeing him at round 1 in just over 2 weeks!

As we head towards the start of the fifth season of the British Drift Championship, we would like to introduce you to THREE! Yes Three new judges for 2012.
Julian Smith who has judged for the last few years has taken a step back to concentrate more time to his business Garage D. Not only that but he intends to compete in some BDC events in 2012! We wish him all the best in both ventures and look forward to seeing him mixing it up with drivers in the Super Professional class later this year.
With out further ado we would like to introduce you to the first of our new judges!
Please welcome Sid Crowfoot! Most people will know Sid as the driver of a number of cars over the years. His driving style had to change a number of times with the amount of cars he has driven, the perfect man to know exactly what is capable of ANY car. He is know by the majority of drifters in the UK and is a well respected member of the drift community. For that reason we know that his judging will be respected and we welcome Sid as a member of the BDC team for 2012.
