The Maxxis British Drift Championship Dinner Dance has become an annual tradition over the years, with the drivers, teams, friends and family all gathering at the end of the season to congratulate the winners, hand out the year’s awards and enjoy a good night with great people. This year’s dinner dance took place at the Marriott hotel in Peterborough and was a fantastic night to remember for all involved!
Once again, the British Drift Championship had the pleasure of being invited along to Trax and were given the opportunity of bringing the sport of Drifting back to the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone. (more…)
We move into 2013 with the standard of driving reaching VERY high standards. With that, we thought it was time to raise the standard of trophies.
We contacted a number of companies across the UK to find suitable silverware for drivers to place in their cabinets, on their mantel piece, a workshop shelf or where ever they choose.
We eventually chose a company called Dewhursts Trophies, with a shop in Kings Lynn and one in Boston in Lincolnshire, they couldn’t have been more helpful.
We’re pleased to announce that The British Drift Championship will be in attendance at Trax 2013, which is being held once again at Silverstone on Sunday 8th September.
With lots of thrilling action you can be sure it will be a day not worth missing. We’ll be releasing more details soon, but pencil the date into your diary for one of the hottest shows of the year.
It’s all confirmed now! The Maxxis British Drift Championship team will be at the popular Autosport International Show in January. The Autosport show at Birmingham’s NEC sets the industry standard! It brings together every aspect of motorsport all under one roof! Playing host to everything from Karting to F1 and now, British Drifting!
The 2012 season of the Maxxis British Drift Championship saw the sport and organisation boom! The level of attention received pushed things to the very edge of manic. Drifting fans just couldn’t get enough of the action that the BDC promises, and delivers! The teams and drivers all stepped it up a notch and we were rewarded with a season that surely has to go down into the history books as a landmark for British Drifting!

The search is on for drivers who are ready to take part in the UK’s premier drift championship, the British Drift Championship.
We can now announce details of the first licensing day of 2013!
This event will take place on Saturday the 26th January at the Norfolk Arena, Saddlebow Road, Kings Lynn PE34 3AG
We have had 6 events at 5 venues over the course of the season and have had drivers from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Holland, Germany, Portugal, Belgium and Norway. In the end there can be only 1 winner per class.
Semi Professional class champion taking the crown at the final round is Team Rampstyle driver Owen Taylor
The Professional class champion driving his trusty Nissan Skyline R33 is Team Dorihero driver Christian Lewis.
In the toughest championship class in Europe and after 8 years of competitive drifting we can officially announce the 2012 Super Professional champion is Team Japspeed driver Paul “Smokey” Smith.
The team/constructors championship went down to the wire with eventual winners being Team Japspeed.
Trax is one of the biggest car shows in Europe, and when you merge it with the Maxxis British Championship it goes to a whole new level of awesome! Silverstone is the home of British Motorsport and the lure an event at such an illustrious venue like this sees over 16,000 cheering drift fans line the track to see the BDC Super Pros.

The brilliant Maxxis British Drift Championship television coverage is due to hit your living rooms again soon! Round 4 from Lydden Hill is set to be screened on Motors TV thanks to Greenlight Television coming along to feature the action at the Kent Circuit.
