Let this sink in for just a second … A V8 powered Mazda MX5 NC pushing out over 1,000bhp!

That’s right; by taking one of the lightest chassis’ possible and cramming in the most powerful engine on the grid, one European driver has created one of the most incredible drift cars in all of Europe. And the best thing about it all is that you’ll be able to see it shred tires at every single round of the 2018 British Drift Championship.

This insane project is the brainchild of Danish drifter Christian Christensen and the Overboost Drift Team. After competing all across Europe for the last few years, this season, Christian (who hails from Falster, Denmark) will be transporting his one-off build to the UK to compete in the Pro class in the 2018 British Drift Championship.

Having competed at the World Powerslide Championship at Gatebil, as well as having achieved several podiums across Europe in various championships, Christian is now hunting for silverware in the UK in one of the most unique builds anywhere in, well probably the entire world!

We may not have the weather in the UK for Christian to have the roof off his MX5, but he will certainly be heating up the track and destroying tires in the process when the BDC kicks off in just two weeks time at Round 1 in Rockingham Motor Speedway.

The Pro class is already set to be blown wide open and our announcements aren’t finished just yet. Stay tuned for more very soon.
