IDC champion Duane McKeever ready for war

by Adam O'Connor 28th March 2018

You may have heard the news that two time Pro British Drift Champion (BDC) and current IDC Pro champion Jack Shanahan is not contesting the 2018 BDC season. In his place, however, we can confirm that two time IDC Pro champion Duane McKeever is coming to do battle at BDC Round 1 in Rockingham Motor Speedway this weekend.

Coming into this weekend, McKeever commands a 100% win record in the BDC following a dominating performance at Round 3 last season in the NEC, Birmingham. Now that he’s making his BDC return, you can be sure he’ll be doing his best to take even more silverware back across the pond come Sunday evening.

But the Northerner certainly won’t be traveling alone on his quest for silverware. The grid is set to be stacked with Link ECU driver Paul Conlan, Quinn’s Coach Hire’s Kevin Quinn and Damien Wilkinson, as well as Ryan Caldwell and Lee Scott, who are all coming to do battle this weekend at Rockingham Motor Speedway.

Between the contingent of Northern Irish drivers making the journey this weekend lies a 2 time IDC Pro champion and an IADC champion, as well as a combined total of more than 20 years of competitive drifting experience.

This weekend will see the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Lithuania, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and much more converging on Rockingham Motor Speedway, all in the name of championship glory, so it’s definitely an event you simply can’t afford to miss!

The question is though, could we possibly see more silverware heading back across the Irish sea this weekend?
